Food is currency
Food Fed Forward
My Local Connection makes access to healthy food easy, convenient, and safe for everyone, especially the most vulnerable in our community. We offer five ways to get involved in helping us grow a local food system that supports all of us. Because #everyoneeats.

How to build a local food system that works for everyone:
Wholesale Pricing
Small businesses in Niagara can buy our produce boxes at wholesale prices and resell them to their customers at retail price. It’s a low-risk way to offer quality local produce and support local farmers, while increasing sales and customer loyalty.

Matched one-for-one food donations that we distribute through our community service partners. Buy a produce box or prepared meals box, and we donate a bag of produce or prepared meals to people in our community who need support.
Community Hubs
We work with service groups, not-for-profits, and other organizations to feed people in our communities who are struggling. For every produce box or bag, or prepared meal box that we sell, we donate a bag of produce or prepared meals through our community hub partners.
Pay-What-You-Can
Besides the food we distribute through our community service partners, our Pay-What-You-Can produce bags are available 11am-2pm on Saturdays at our Food Hub location. Come yourself, or send a friend if you need support.
Fundraising
Join our Rise & Shine competition and challenge other community groups or teams to sell the most produce bags and therefore raise the most money! Sell our produce bag and $5 from every bag sold will go towards YOUR good cause. Fundraise knowing your campaign helps local farmers and keeps money within our local economy.

Welcome to the family! Who we are drives what we do. We know we have work to do and this is us doing it. Adopting a family costs approximately $30 a week for us to deliver a bag of produce to their doorstep.
